...discovering the world around us...

So, what do we do?

At think outside, we love being both outdoors and in the kitchen.  We love designing, making and mending things.  Like many we care deeply about the world around us.  We work with all age groups, in schools, colleges and community centres running classes which are both educational and fun.  Almost all of our activities are based in Wandsworth and focus on one of three areas (which often overlap!)

Outdoors

We’ve worked in lots of schools.  We’ve even worked at London Zoo!  Everyone in our classes learns something about nature - whether it be growing, maintenance, bug-hunting or bird-watching.  We have even designed a number of gardens to teach in!

Food

What we grow in our classes and workshops can often be eaten.  Cooking both healthily and economically is not what many of us focus on.  We should.  think outside has for years been running adult classes teaching about healthy eating on a budget, nutrition and economising at home.

Sustainability

….is not just about recycling wine bottles!   The circular economy means completely re-thinking how we re-use basic day-to-day materials, whether they be clothes, cardboard or plastic.   We help people to re-focus their lives in a way which is fun, cheaper and environmentally friendly, offer practical advice on sourcing, mending and fashion.
